Thor - Thor is the son of Odin and Fjorgyn, the earth.  Although sometimes described as somewhat slow of wit, this characterization is not borne out in the mythology.  Only Odin seems able to best Thor in a battle of wits.  Thor is exceptionally strong, and becomes even stronger when wearing his girdle of strength, Megingjord.  He wields Mjolnir with the aid of his iron gloves, Jarngreipr.  Thor is associated with lightening and his chariot, drawn by two goats, with thunder.  Thor frequently travels with Loki and also in the company of a young man and a young woman, Thjalfi and Roskva.  Thor has three known children, sons Magni, Modi and a daughter Thrud.  Although immensely strong, even for a God or giant, Thor’s strength is, in fact, surpassed by his son Magni.
