Freya - Freya is the sister of Freyr, one of the Vanir and probably Freyr’s one time husband as well, prior to joining with the Aesir at the end of the Aesir-Vanir war as a peace hostage. Freya has had another husband, Od, of whom very little is known for certain. She wears the necklace Brisingamen which she obtained in exchange for sexual favors with dwarves. Freya is independent, and willful as well as very beautiful, often being the object of desire for various Jotun. She receives half of the battle-dead, along with Odin.
